Having worked in the industry for a number of years, including managing salons and working with artistic teams, I finally decided to go freelance and then taught hairdressing at a local college. On-going training was always a passion and when I did some courses in long hair, I realised at that point that It really was a specialised thing which then led me into doing wedding hair.
Doing wedding hair, was a job that I now really loved and going out to people on their special day and being part of that, was amazing, fun and exciting! Soon, people were asking If I did wedding make-up, which at the time I didn't. This then was another great opportunity for me to train yet again, but in make-up this time. Doing the MAC make-up course in London Kensington was brilliant and inspiring! It was the first of many specialised courses that I have now done and most recently a course at Jemma Kidd which was a glamour make-up course and themed around vintage - 30's 40's and 50's era.
It seemed that Immediately when I was back working, clients were now loving the idea of vintage and were asking me to incorporate that Into their wedding looks. So, here I am to date. Now mostly doing wedding hair and make-up, working with brides, bridesmaids and of course brides mums and giving clients the whole package of my skills.
I really enjoy my job more than ever now and my daughter often comes out to assist me in creating a great wedding hair and make-up experience for the bride on her wedding morning, one that is enjoyable and fun and a moment that she will never forget.
