Hen and Stag Parties in Sussex
The jewel in the Sussex crown?
Brighton. Hedonist mecca, cultural hotspot, celebrity go-to and the essential destination for all Sussex-bound hens and stags. No other city has such eclecticism and vibrancy. Pleasure-seeking Prince Regent set the tone with his Pavilion folly and today Fat Boy Slim flies the party flag as unofficial Lord Mayor.
Its beauty lies in its sheer diversity. You want gastro dining and theatre? Consider it done. Architecture and life drawing? Check. Cocktails and cabaret? Indeed. Quad biking and clubbing? Most definitely. Here are some ideas for a truly memorable Sussex send off:
For the hens
• Shopping: Quirky boutiques in the North Laine, designer labels in Duke’s Lane and the high street biggies in Churchill Square.
• Nightlife: A foodies’ paradise, clubs that stay open til 6am and of course the obligatory karaoke on the pier.
• Beauty treatments: Day spas, beauty salons and nail bars to style you happy.
For the stags
• Adrenaline activities: Go-karting, orbing, paintballing, quad biking, dirt buggy racing….
• Nightlife: From casino to comedy club and on to the discerning and discreet gentlemens’ clubs.
• Sports: Clay pigeon shooting, beach volleyball, sea fishing or a visit to the mighty Brighton and Hove Albion.
Accommodation
You’re spoilt for choice. From the flash seafront hotels to boutique boltholes and modestly priced B&Bs there’s a pillow with your name on it.
Getting here
is easy peasy. Trains from London Bridge, London Victoria and Gatwick run twice hourly, plus cabs and buses in abundance.
The logistics
Organising a group weekender can be stressful. Differing budgets, tastes and agendas can cause a headache so why not book through a local specialist with expert planners and buying muscle? It makes life so much easier.
